Created by and for the individuals we support, the Advisory Board provides a welcoming forum where individuals can come together to discuss concerns, share ideas, celebrate successes, and make their voices heard. The board was established to encourage open and honest communication among peers, allowing participants to express what they want and need while sharing feedback about their homes, staff, services, and overall quality of life.

Meeting Every Month
The KenCCID Advisory Board meets on the last Thursday of every month, providing individuals with a consistent opportunity to connect with friends, engage in meaningful discussions, and participate in activities that strengthen community bonds.
Each gathering is unique, combining important conversations with fun, friendship, and opportunities for personal growth.
May Advisory Board BBQ Celebration
In May, Advisory Board members gathered for a special BBQ Party at Bickley Street, bringing together individuals, staff, and supporters for an evening filled with food, music, and fellowship.
The event featured:
- Delicious barbecue and refreshments
- Live music
- Great company and positive energy
- Plenty of laughter and memorable moments
One of the highlights of the evening was seeing Dr. Molson serve as Master Griller, preparing food for everyone and helping make the celebration extra special. The event reflected what the Advisory Board is all about—building relationships, fostering inclusion, and creating opportunities for individuals to connect and enjoy their community together.
Looking Ahead: June Live Music in the Park
The fun continues on Thursday, June 25, 2026, when Advisory Board members will gather for Live Music in the Park.
This upcoming event will provide another opportunity for individuals to socialize, enjoy music, spend time outdoors, and strengthen the friendships that make the KenCCID community so special.
