KenCCID was conceptualized by several Philadelphia families from the Kensington area of the city, some of whom had family members with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Today, we serve a thriving community of individuals with disabilities with the support of incredible people who are committed to the mission of KenCCID.
KenCCID strives to promote dignity and choice to empower Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities reach their full potential.
Each letter in the acronym “I CARE” represents a key value which KenCCID stands for. These values guide our approach to everything we do. I Care = Impact, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment
