David Ehrenkrantz, Dr.P.H.

David Ehrenkrantz has spent his entire professional career serving the interests of the population with developmental/intellectual disabilities, and their normalization.  He acquired his Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh, where he did his dissertation on Down syndrome.  His Masters in Public Health was taken at New York Medical College, with a concentration in developmental disabilities.  Postdoctorally, he served as the Disabilities Epidemiologist for the State of Kansas and the Senior Maternal and Child Health Epidemiologist for the state of Maine.  Both positions focused on physical as well as developmental/intellectual disabilities for individuals of all ages, and their integration/reintegration into society.

Currently, David serves as the Global Group Leader for RESULTS Philadelphia, as well as the Chair of the Advocacy Committee for Partners in Health Engage Philadelphia (both local chapters of international health and poverty organizations).  He has successfully been advocating Congress for sustained funding to ensure continued delivery of health and educational services to developing nations.  He has also been training highly motivated medical students from Penn and Jefferson to develop effective advocacy skills.  David sits on the Board of Directors for the World Conference of Mayors, as well as the Rotary Club of Northeast Sunrisers Philadelphia, where he serves as the Rotary Foundation Chair.
