New Year

This past weekend we watched in awe as the world rung in the New Year 2023 with much joy, elaborate fireworks, and heart-pumping music. For many, this was the first time in a few years that they were able to celebrate together in large gatherings. 

What a difference a few years makes!!

It was not too long ago when the festivities were much dampened by the unknowns of a fast-spreading virus that would wreak so much havoc around the world. 

Instead, this year, we cheered louder than ever for the dawn of a new year, full of hope and anticipation of better things to come. 

New Beginnings

For many the New Year brings a chance to start over. To start fresh. To turn over a new leaf. To try that new gym. To take that long-awaited trip. 

For others, the New Year brings yet another year of overcoming the same obstacles from last year. The very same obstacles that prevent them from fully enjoying all that life has to offer.

For individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their struggle to fit into a world that rarely pauses to meet their basic human needs continues on. 

Same Commitment 

At KenCCID, as we welcome the New Year, we remain steadfast in our commitment to serve the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities entrusted to our care.

We will continue to provide housing, basic medical care, and job support to all of our residents. 

Meeting their needs is our sole mission. 

Ensuring that they have a safe and nurturing place to call home is our passion. 

We look forward to continuing to ensure that individuals with disabilities lead a life of dignity that is different from no other.

We want to ensure that the joy of the New Year is felt by some of the most vulnerable members of our society.
