Meet Daniel.
For more than eight years, Daniel has proudly worked at McDonald’s, and he loves what he does. Every day, he arrives ready to work, contribute, and be part of a team. His dedication and commitment are a testament to the incredible value that individuals with disabilities bring to the workplace when they are given the opportunity to succeed.
But Daniel’s story is about more than employment. It is a story about friendship, belonging, and community.
At KenCCID, we believe that every individual has unique strengths, talents, and dreams. With the right support and opportunities, those strengths can shine. Daniel embodies that belief every day.
One of Daniel’s favorite places to visit is the KenCCID office. He enjoys stopping by to spend time with staff members, sharing conversations, and catching up with familiar faces. Whether he is talking with Kim or greeting other staff members, Daniel brings warmth and positivity wherever he goes. His smile is contagious, and his enthusiasm brightens the day for everyone around him.
Daniel also takes pride in being involved with KenCCID’s Advisory Board. He enjoys participating in meetings, sharing his thoughts, and being part of a group that helps shape opportunities for individuals throughout the organization. Through the Advisory Board, Daniel has found another way to connect with others and make his voice heard.
What stands out most about Daniel is his love for people. He is always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it is supporting his peers, or simply offering encouragement to someone who needs it. Daniel is constantly looking for opportunities to meet new people and build new friendships.
When asked about his friends, Daniel proudly says, “I have many friends in my home.” His response reflects something very special about him—he values relationships and genuinely enjoys connecting with others. To Daniel, friendship is important, and he makes an effort every day to create meaningful connections with those around him.
Over the years, Daniel has built a life filled with purpose, friendship, and community involvement. His success at work, his active participation at KenCCID, and his willingness to help others demonstrate what is possible when individuals are supported, respected, and empowered to pursue their goals.
Daniel’s journey reminds us that inclusion is about more than providing opportunities—it is about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, valued, and connected. Through his kindness, work ethic, and friendly spirit, Daniel continues to make a positive impact on everyone he meets.
At KenCCID, we are proud to celebrate Daniel and the many ways he contributes to our community. His story is a powerful reminder that everyone deserves the opportunity to belong, to contribute, and to thrive.
