To the family and friends of KenCCID Participants/Individuals:
I am writing on behalf of the KenCCID Family. KenCCID as an organization is taking every precaution to keep our Individuals, staff members, and surrounding community safe during the coronavirus pandemic. In an abundance of caution, and in keeping with guidelines from Centers for Disease Control and prevention (CDC), Department of Health (DOH), Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) and Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), we are instituting the following policy with regards to Individuals in our care who leave their KenCCID homes to be in the care of their friends or family members for any periods of time.
Effective immediately, we are adding controls around visitors. Please note that family and friends who choose to take Individuals from their KenCCID homes shall, upon returning the Individuals, give the House Manager or appropriate staff member a full accurate accounting of the locations where the Individual visited and the persons with whom the client came into contact with during their stay outside the KenCCID home. This information will be vital to ensure that we are taking all steps necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the KenCCID community, and to assure regulatory compliance.
We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to protect all of the valued members of the KenCCID family.
Sincerely,
Maku Warrakah-Ali, Chief Executive Officer KenCCID
