Over the summer Sara attended the movie theatre located at 1619 Grant Ave. Phila. Pa. 19115. She saw the movie; Til Death Do Us Part. The movie was about a married woman who is surprised by her husband’s abusive nature and behavior; she eventually fakes her death to get away from him.
Sara was taken to see this movie by staff after she expressed an interest in seeing the movie during an advertisement on television. Sara stated that it looked like a good movie and she would love to see it. While at the movie theatre Sara purchased snacks before the start of the movie. During the movie Sara appeared to be really engrossed in it, because she made several comments regarding different characters and their choices in the movie.
Sara didn’t move her wheelchair the entire time. She stayed glued to the screen while eating her movie snacks. Sara even expressed buying the movie once it comes out on DVD. Sara also stated that she hoped that the next movie she sees at the theatre will be even better. Sara enjoys going to this movie theatre because it is nearby and not much hassle for her.
The best memory of this day according to Sara, was her talking about how she wouldn’t ever let anyone treat her that way.
