KenCCID Welcomes The Claymobile This August!

Creativity, Connection, and Confidence Through the Art of Clay

At KenCCID, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity, discover new talents, and express themselves in meaningful ways. That’s why we are excited to announce that The Clay Studio’s Claymobile will be visiting KenCCID this August to provide an engaging, hands-on ceramics experience for the individuals we serve.

We can’t wait to welcome their talented teaching artists and experience the joy of creating with clay together!

Bringing the Art Studio to the Community

The Claymobile, a community outreach program of The Clay Studio, transforms everyday spaces into fully functioning ceramic art studios. Through partnerships with schools, community centers, senior living communities, and nonprofit organizations, the Claymobile brings professional ceramics education directly to people throughout the Philadelphia region.

Their experienced teaching artists inspire participants through hands-on learning, encouraging imagination, creativity, critical thinking, and perseverance while introducing them to the unique and rewarding art of ceramics.

For many of our individuals, this will be an exciting opportunity to try something new, build confidence, and create artwork they can proudly call their own.

More Than Just Art

Art is about much more than creating something beautiful.

Creative activities help individuals:

  • Build confidence and self-expression
  • Strengthen fine motor skills
  • Improve focus and problem-solving
  • Encourage communication and social interaction
  • Experience the pride that comes from completing a project

Programs like this provide opportunities for personal growth while creating lasting memories with friends.

A Shared Commitment to Inclusion

One of the reasons we’re especially excited about this partnership is that The Clay Studio shares many of the same values that guide KenCCID every day.

Since 1974, The Clay Studio has believed that ceramic arts are a force for good, bringing people together through creativity and community. Their commitment to Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion (DEAI) ensures that artistic expression is accessible to everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or ability.

That vision aligns beautifully with KenCCID’s mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, meaningful, and connected lives.

Looking Forward to an Amazing Experience

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations that believe in inclusion, creativity, and community.

We look forward to welcoming The Claymobile this August and can’t wait to share photos of our individuals exploring the wonderful world of ceramics.

Stay tuned to see the amazing artwork our talented artists create!
